Sisters

Mariah is fascinated with her baby sister, although she isn't quite sure what to do with her yet. She has taken all her toys and laid them beside Kathryn, or sometimes on top of her, but they are so sweet together. Here are a few pictures of them together.
1st introduction
Not so sure about this........
She makes sure that everyone coming to visit knows where the new baby is sleeping......she was so cute trying to look in the bassinet for Kathryn.
Saying "hi" to baby sister!

Giving her a kiss.

Everyone else gets to hold the baby ---so she wanted her turn too! So cute, although Kathryn doesn't look so sure.
They are both so precious---they just melt my heart.

Introducing: Kathryn Jubilee Rogers

My second granddaughter arrived on December 13, 2010 at 12:36pm. She weighed in at 8lbs, 4oz and 20 inches long. She is just beautiful and we are so thankful that she is strong and healthy. She is growing and doing wonderful.
Here are some more shots of our little jewel. Of course, I think they are all adorable so it was hard to pick.

Dear Family Christmas 2010

We went to the Dear Family Christmas in Amarillo on the day after Christmas. We didn't make it there last year due to the snow and ice, so it was really nice to see everyone. I tried to get at least a snapshot of everyone but I think I may have missed a few. There were about 35 people there most of the day.

Here are some pictures of the crew.

Here are 2 of the new additions last year.
Grandma Darla with Isabella and Kevin with Grayson.

A couple of shots didn't turn out so I missed Kaitlyn & Jessi. Also, Alex and Roberta had to go to work so I missed them also. We had a great time visiting and catching up.

Great Wolf Lodge

As usual I am playing catch-up on my posts, but Clayton, Barry, Charles & I took a weekend trip (about 10 miles from our house) to Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend. The boys had wanted to go camping and all of the parks were booked up during the Thanksgiving holiday and then it turned really cold, so we opted for a warmer alternative. We had a great time with the indoor water park and fun activities for the boys. Here are some pics of all the fun.
the indoor water park with all of the slides and pools was great fun.

There was a huge bucket that filled slowly and then dumped all of the water down below! The kids loved the huge splash and it was fun to watch also.

My favorite spot was of course the hot tub. No kids were allowed inside this area, so it was a nice spot to relax.

They also light their giant Christmas tree the night we were staying. It was really pretty. Santa also made an appearance so their was a huge crowd. We found a high spot to take in the view.

shots of the tree and the crowd.

our view......
In the dining room, all of the kid's meals came with wolf ears. Charles is wearing his below.

The boys also spent lots of time playing Quest---which is a treasure hunt with things to find all over the building. There was an activated laser sword that opened all of the hidden treasure. Charles really enjoyed this part. We had a great time.
